Downtown Historical Walking Tour

During National Preservation Month (May), Main Street hosts a Downtown Historical Walking Tour.  Each building downtown has a colorful historical past and this Walking Tour gives the community a chance to get to know what Levelland was and how it's shaped our city today.  The Walking Tour is self-guided but does require a smart phone with a QR code reader (there are several types of QR code reader apps that can be downloaded on your smart phone for free or a small fee).  Or you can read up on the history here on our website by following the links on the left side of this page.  Businesses with a poster similar to the one in the picture above will be displayed in businesses currently participating in the Walking Tour.  Brochures with a list of businesses in the Walking Tour can be picked up at our office, 1101 Ave H or downloaded, Walking Tour Brochure.  Each QR code is linked to a a website page that contains photos and other historical info about that building.

You can also download a free Scavenger Hunt to do along with the Walking Tour! Courtesy of Joanna Runkles w/ Levelland ISD.

Please feel free to contact us at (806) 894-9079 with comments or questions about the Downtown Historical Walking Tour.
