Michael Jackson was elected to the Council in May 2003 and began a two-year term. He was re-elected in May of 2008 for a third two-year term. Mr. Jackson has served on the Levelland Housing Authority Board and he is currently a member of the South Plains Association of Government (SPAG).

Mike is married to Linda and they have three daughters; Brandie, Ashley, and Casey. They have three grandchildren; Hailey, Donovan, and Xavier. He is a lifelong resident of Levelland and his family are members of the Morning Star Baptist Church.

Mike works in the oil industry.
